Spyderco was founded in 1978 in Golden, Colorado. Spyderco created many features that are now common in folding knives, including the pocket clip, blade serrations and Spyderco's trademark opening hole. They have been collaborating with many custom knifemakers, athletes, and self-defence instructors around the world. Spyderco has pioneered the use of 20 different blade materials, including CPM-SV60V, CPM-S90V, H-1 and others. The company invests a lot in research and development in order to keep producing the high-quality reliable cutting tools designed and manufactured for peak performance and ergonomic comfort.
Designed by noted personal-defense expert Michael Janich, the YoJumbo is an “upsized” version of his time-tested Yojimbo™ 2. In this elite Sprint Run expression of it, the knife’s stunning, satin-finished Wharncliffe blade is supercharged with CPM S90V—a vanadium rich powder metallurgy stainless steel that offers an exceptional combination of edge holding and corrosion resistance. Its handle is also enhanced with handsome peel-ply-textured solid carbon fiber scales. All other features, including its nested stainless steel liners, high-strength Compression Lock®, and four-position pocket clip are consistent with the standard version of this model.
