Chris Reeve knives
Chris Reeve makes folding knives and fixed-blade knives for everyday work, with deliberate designs and materials selected for each model. The company began in South Africa in 1984 and now designs and manufactures its knives in Boise, Idaho. Its folding knives use the Reeve Integral Lock, a frame-lock design developed by the company.

Folding knives for different preferences

These folding models use 6Al4V titanium handles. Blade steel varies by model and availability: the Sebenza 31 and Inkosi use CPM MagnaCut or CPM S45VN, while the Umnumzaan uses CPM MagnaCut. The Mnandi is listed with CPM MagnaCut or CPM S45VN, with the standard version described as having a polished CPM S45VN blade. Check the specific configuration for its steel and finish. The company's Reeve Integral Lock is a frame lock, in which part of the handle engages the blade tang to hold the knife open. Chris Reeve began making knives in Durban, South Africa, in 1984 and moved operations to Boise, Idaho, in 1989. The company says its design, development, testing and manufacturing take place at its Boise facility. Its lifetime warranty covers failure to function as originally designed due to faulty workmanship or materials; eligibility requires the knife to remain in its original configuration, and misuse, normal wear and modifications are excluded.
