Spyderco was founded in 1978 in Golden, Colorado. Spyderco created many features that are now common in folding knives, including the pocket clip, blade serrations and Spyderco's trademark opening hole. They have been collaborating with many custom knifemakers, athletes, and self-defence instructors around the world. Spyderco has pioneered the use of 20 different blade materials, including CPM-SV60V, CPM-S90V, H-1 and others. The company invests a lot in research and development in order to keep producing the high-quality reliable cutting tools designed and manufactured for peak performance and ergonomic comfort.
The original Techno, created in collaboration between Spyderco and custom knifemaker Marcin Slysz, proved that big performance can come in a compact size. The Techno 2 continues this legacy—refined, practical, and even more capable.
Its stonewashed blade is crafted from CTS-XHP steel, a premium alloy with high carbon and chromium content. Known for its balanced performance, it offers excellent hardness, edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The Sheepfoot-shaped, saber-ground blade measures about 6.5 cm and opens swiftly with Spyderco’s trademark Round Hole - easy to use with just one hand.
The titanium handle features a beautiful stonewashed matte finish. A robust Reeve Integral Lock ensures reliable blade security, while the green-anodized titanium standoffs add a touch of character. Thanks to the open-backed construction, maintenance is quick and simple.
A pocket clip makes carry effortless, and the handle also includes a lanyard hole for added versatility.
