Spyderco was founded in 1978 in Golden, Colorado. Spyderco created many features that are now common in folding knives, including the pocket clip, blade serrations and Spyderco's trademark opening hole. They have been collaborating with many custom knifemakers, athletes, and self-defence instructors around the world. Spyderco has pioneered the use of 20 different blade materials, including CPM-SV60V, CPM-S90V, H-1 and others. The Salt version of Spyderco’s popular Dragonfly 2 offers almost limitless resistance to corrosion. Although small and lightweight, it is remarkably compact and capable. It is an efficient tool for all kinds of small cutting tasks at home or at work. It is also well suited to wet environments, whether by the water or even on underwater adventures.
The blade is made from truly rustproof H-2 steel. This highly corrosion-resistant steel naturally has no fear of seawater. The leaf-shaped blade measures just under 6 cm in length.
The handle of this folding knife is made from fiberglass-reinforced nylon, FRN. Besides its bright and distinctive color, it offers a comfortable, ergonomic grip. The textured handle provides a secure hold and excellent slip resistance.
The optimally positioned Spydiehole thumb hole allows the knife to be opened quickly with one hand. The back lock mechanism securely locks the blade in the open position. A four-position pocket clip makes carrying the knife even more convenient.
The Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Salt is an EDC knife for all kinds of everyday cutting tasks, especially where excellent corrosion resistance is required.
