Spyderco was founded in 1978 in Golden, Colorado. The Spyderco Shaman is based on the legendary Native series, a design that has been trusted for decades. Sharing the same ergonomic DNA, the Shaman takes it a step further—larger, stronger, and built for even greater cutting performance.
Its stonewashed blade is crafted from CPM S30V powdered steel, a premium steel blend known for its all-around excellence. With no major weaknesses, it delivers superb edge retention, excellent corrosion resistance, and aggressive cutting power. Thanks to Spyderco’s signature Round Hole opening mechanism, the blade deploys smoothly and effortlessly—even with one hand.
The stainless steel liners and the robust Compression Lock mechanism ensure rock-solid safety and reliability. The handle scales are made from matte-textured G10 composite, offering outstanding grip, weather resistance, and virtually maintenance-free durability.
