Spyderco was founded in 1978 in Golden, Colorado. Spyderco created many features that are now common in folding knives, including the pocket clip, blade serrations and Spyderco's trademark opening hole. Spyderco has pioneered the use of 20 different blade materials, including CPM-SV60V, CPM-S90V, H-1 and others. Spyderco JumpMaster 2 is a rescue knife based on the popular original model. Developed in close cooperation with the U.S. Army Paratroopers, it keeps the classic elements of its predecessor but with an updated blade design. The previous blunt-tip Sheepfoot has been replaced by a sharp, leaf-shaped blade. This makes it extremely cutting-efficient and keeps its edge for a long time, while the materials make it suitable for use in a wide range of conditions.
The Spyderedge serrated edge is made from H1 steel. Not just any steel, it combines sharpness with outstanding corrosion resistance, literally making rust flee. The JumpMaster 2 performs just as well on dry land as in wet conditions.
The molded FRN handle offers a secure, comfortable grip and is highly durable.
A custom-molded Boltaron sheath with G-Clip attachment provides versatile carry options.
