The Street Beat Lightweight is yet another Bowie-style offering from Spyderco for fans of this iconic knife type. The design work was done by Fred Perrin. It is a lightweight, relatively compact knife that works as a versatile tool for hikers, hunters, or other outdoor enthusiasts.
The full-flat-ground blade faithfully reproduces the Clip Point style. This 9 cm matte black blade is made from Japanese VG10 steel—a highly regarded steel alloy known for its consistency. It stays sharp for a long time but can be reasonably easy to sharpen when needed. Its corrosion resistance is excellent. This makes it a great choice for a general-purpose knife, as long as you remember that this lightweight knife is not intended as a power tool.
The handle is ergonomically shaped and made from fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). A stylish Kydex sheath is included.
