Spyderco was founded in 1978 in Golden, Colorado. The Spyderco Navigator 3 brings back a compact classic first introduced in 1997, updated for a new generation. With roots in the pioneering Co-Pilot and later Navigator II, this enduring design now features a non-locking SLIPIT construction for the first time. Manufactured in Maniago, Italy, the Navigator 3 combines a rich design heritage with premium materials and discreet pocket carry.
The full-flat-ground blade is crafted from BM390MC—Böhler-Uddeholm’s genuine M390 particle metallurgy stainless steel—offering excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. Spyderco’s signature Round Hole™ allows easy one-handed opening with either hand, while a refined blade spine profile enhances comfort.
A non-locking notched-joint mechanism with a full stainless steel backspring provides resistance to accidental closing. Smooth gray G-10 handle scales complete the clean, understated design.
A deep-pocket wire clip keeps the knife discreetly tucked into the pocket. The clip is reversible for left- or right-side tip-up carry.
