Spyderco Thyn folding knife C279TIP
Titanium Elegance, M390 Performance
The Spyderco Thyn combines Michele Pensato’s distinctive design with premium materials and smooth operation in a sleek, pocket-friendly format. Based on Pensato’s smaller Emmet model, the Thyn is approximately 14% smaller than the Slym while retaining its key features. It is manufactured by lionSTEEL exclusively for Spyderco.
The full-flat-ground drop-point blade is crafted from Böhler-Uddeholm’s M390 particle metallurgy stainless steel, offering excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. A crowned blade spine adds a refined touch, while ball bearings deliver exceptionally smooth opening. A flipper tab and Spyderco’s Trademark Round Hole™ provide a choice of one-handed opening methods.
Machined from a single piece of titanium using lionSTEEL’s SOLID® technology, the handle is protected by a durable gray PVD coating. One side showcases a black-and-white fatcarbon® Dark Matter Polar carbon fiber inlay. The other houses a sturdy Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism with a hardened steel interface for lasting wear resistance.
A generously sized lanyard hole and a butt-mounted deep-pocket clip complete the design. The clip is reversible for left- or right-side carry, keeping the knife discreetly tucked into the pocket.
