Spyderco was founded in 1978 in Golden, Colorado. Named after a legendary American bucking bull, the Spyderco Bodacious is a heavy-duty folding knife built for unwavering reliability. Designed by Spyderco co-founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame® member Sal Glesser, this distinctive version pairs its stout construction with Spyderco’s popular Cru-Carta combination.
The satin-finished, full-flat-ground blade is precision machined from CPM CRU-WEAR. Produced using Crucible’s CPM powder metallurgy process, this steel has an exceptionally fine, uniform microstructure that delivers extreme toughness and outstanding edge retention.
Smooth brown canvas Micarta handle scales are supported by full-length stainless steel liners joined by a stainless steel backspacer. The liners provide a solid foundation for the high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism and the broad pocket clip, which is reversible for left- or right-handed tip-up carry. Designed to develop a natural patina through age and use, the Micarta gives every knife its own character while blending modern performance with classic old-school style.
