ANV Knives S100 - Stonewash - G10 folding knife, black
The S100 marked ANV’s first step into a newly emerging series, where the letter “S” refers to the slipjoint mechanism used. This model introduced a full-length spacer along the spine, contributing to the knife’s strength, ergonomics, and overall functionality - a key element that distinguishes the S100 from the previous slipjoint models in the Z series. The S series represents the next stage in the evolution of ANV folding knives, focusing on simplicity, functionality, and everyday usability.
The S100 is suited for situations where there is no need for rapid deployment, one-handed opening, or drawing attention. With no locking mechanism and a two-handed opening, it is an ideal EDC option in regions with stricter knife regulations. The elongated teardrop-shaped cutout in the blade facilitates opening while giving the knife a distinctive and recognizable design feature.
For the first time in ANV’s lineup, Sandvik stainless steel was used, offering excellent corrosion resistance and cryogenically hardened to 56–58 HRC. The 3 mm blade thickness provides reliability for typical daily tasks. The ANV Swedge blade with a drop point profile features an elegant stonewash finish and runs smoothly on ball bearings.
The G10 handle builds on structural elements from earlier models while introducing a revised grip concept. A rougher texture along the upper spine area enhances security during demanding use, while the smoother lower section improves overall comfort. The index finger cutout functions both as an ergonomic guide and a subtle guard. Despite a weight of only 68 grams, the extended handle and carefully contoured shape ensure a stable and confident grip.
On the reverse side, the knife features a redesigned, ambidextrous, discreet deep-carry pocket clip with a rounded end for easier and more comfortable pocket entry. A final signature element is the luminous ANV Lumidot.
