Choosing a model
The A400 is a folding knife intended for everyday carry. Its blade steel varies by configuration, with official variants using Sandvik 14C28N or Elmax, and a DLC coating. A ball-bearing pivot and flipper support one-handed opening; the ANV Alock secures the blade, while a reversible deep-carry clip supports pocket carry. The 3D-machined G10 handle has steel liners for reinforcement.
The Z200 PLUS offers a different opening approach. Its Sleipner steel blade has a groove for two-handed opening, and a removable flipper allows one-handed opening when fitted. A liner lock holds the blade open. Depending on the selected configuration, the handle is G10 or GRN, a glass-reinforced nylon material. The light construction and reversible deep-carry clip suit pocket carry, while the removable flipper lets users adapt how they open the knife.
The P250 is a fixed-blade option for outdoor and heavier general-purpose tasks. Its full-tang Sleipner steel blade extends through the handle, and the GRNPU handle is shaped and textured for a secure grip. A Kydex sheath with included Molle clips provides carry options. Compared with the folding models, it has no moving blade or pocket lock; its sheath and fixed construction make it the larger belt-carry choice.
Materials and manufacturing
Steel, handle material and finishes are model- and configuration-specific. ANV Knives states that it manufactures its knives in the Czech Republic, carrying out or sourcing production operations from Czech facilities and subcontractors. It uses steels from Sweden and composites and Kydex from the United States. The company’s lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, but excludes sheaths and accessories, normal wear, and damage from misuse or accidents.
