Work Sharp knife and tool sharpeners is one of the 3 sub-brands of Darex. Darex began in 1973 in Beecher Illinois, by three generations of the Bennard family. Darex has grown to produce the world’s best-selling industrial drill sharpeners as well as a full range of commercial and consumer sharpening products. The Work Sharp brand – for precision tool sharpening – was launched in 2007.
Versatile powered sharpening with guided and freehand control
The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2 Elite is a powered sharpening system for maintaining and restoring edges on knives, scissors and other tools. Its guided sharpening cassette helps you achieve repeatable results, while the included Blade Grinding Attachment offers freehand flexibility for different blade shapes and edge profiles. Use it for routine touch-ups or more involved sharpening at home or in a workshop.
A seven-speed motor with an LED display lets you adjust belt speed to suit the task. The sharpening guide adjusts from 15° to 30°, and the Blade Grinding Attachment adjusts from 10° to 35°. The flexible abrasive belts and included scissor guide expand the range of jobs the system can handle.
The set includes the Mk.2 sharpener, Blade Grinding Attachment, tool-sharpening cassette with a 65° scissor guide, and two belt kits. The 3/4" x 12" kit contains P120, X65, X22, X4 and 6000-grit belts; the 1" x 18" kit contains P120, X65, X22, X4 and 12000-grit belts.
