Puukkopuu knives and kitchen knives

Founded by Kai Perttula in 2020, Kaitsun Puukko ja Puutyö makes various handcrafted items in Imatra, Finland, such as high-quality puukko knives, kitchen knives and chopping boards. Since Perttula often manufactures the items based on the individual desires of the customer, the Puukkopuu brand doesn't have a permanent range of products. This ensures that each and every Finnish puukko knife by Perttula is a unique work of art and also a great choice as a special gift. Whether you seek a chef knife, a traditional Finnish puukko knife, an impressive Damascus steel knife, a kuksa or a chopping board, these high-quality items will make a lasting impression with the power of Finnish handcraft.

Perttula, having spent his whole life working with wood and handcrafting, has been making puukko knives since 2013. The time spent on honing his expertise is evident in his products that he creates by himself from start to finish. The impressive blades with a touch of handcraft, forged manually, are often made of carbon steel. The handles are made of Finnish curly birch or a similar beautiful type of Finnish birch.
