Pohl Force was established by Dietmar Pohl, who is a passionate knife designer and also an internationally named author. Pohl's knives have an excellent reputation within Military and Police Special Forces worldwide and are designed to provide ultimate performance and reliability in the harshest environments. The design and used materials ensure comfort, functionality and unsurpassed durability.
The MK-9 was crafted with only selected and high-quality materials. The massive Spearpoint blade, 230 millimetres long and 6,2 millimetres thick, is made of the high-alloy carbon steel Niolox. It impresses with properties such as high rust resistance and special cutting durability. The blasted surface of the blade prevents reflection and emphasizes the technical look of the Legacy.
The textured handle scales made of black G-10 or green canvas composite material are CNC milled from solid material. Both materials are extremely durable and resistant to mechanical stress as well as other external environmental influences. According to Pohl Force standard, the tang is provided with a SRM (Surface Round Milling) that realizes a high grip comfort. Easy access to the cavity of the handle is made possible with the included key.
As with the CNC-Tec Edition of MOVIE KNIVES, the MK-9 Legacy will be built to strict specifications in close cooperation with European manufacturing partner Lionsteel. The multiple winner of the 'Blade Manufacturing Award' is a guarantee for outstanding quality. The very high-quality and elaborately designed leather sheath of the knife is another highlight. Manufacturing partner is the renowned company Radar 1957 - Italy, one of the leading manufacturers of holsters for the police and military sector. Based in Tuscany, near Florence, the company looks back on almost 70 years of experience.
A homage to the beginnings is also the diamond knife sharpener, which completes the leather sheath of the MK-9 Legacy. The American classic is manufactured by Eze-Lap from Carson City, Nevada. The solid brass harmonizes perfectly with the warm brown tone of the fine leather sheath. A sturdy leg strap is also included.
The scope of delivery also includes an anniversary patch, eight lobby cards, a vintage flyer and a high-quality collector's pouch. This has a 2-way zipper (lockable) as well as a Velcro area for patches. Perfect for secure transport or as a pad to display the MK-9 Legacy.
