J-P Peltonen is a man who knows knives – and the conditions where a reliable blade is truly needed. He originally designed the Ranger Puukko M95 while serving in the Finnish Defence Forces, creating a tool tailored for military use but just as functional for civilian outdoor life.

The M95 Ranger Puukko is a quintessential Finnish knife: a multi-purpose companion designed to endure wilderness use and extreme conditions. Hunters use it for processing game, and hikers find it invaluable by the evening campfire.

The thick carbon steel blade is coated with PTFE, which protects the otherwise corrosion-prone steel and reduces friction and buildup of dirt. The coating is also certified as food-safe. The 15 cm blade handles heavy-duty tasks with ease and is easy to resharpen when needed.

The TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate) handle has a grippy, rubber-like texture. It’s virtually indestructible – resistant to wear, impact, chemicals, and fluctuations in weather and temperature. The handle's shape and texture have been carefully engineered to provide a secure grip even with wet hands, ensuring reliable handling in any environment.

This model comes with a robust leather sheath. Available in multiple colors, including a version decorated with the Lion coat of arms.
