G.Sakai was established in 1958 under the name”Sakai Hamono” as a Japanese knife manufacture. Sakai Hamono was greatly inspired by Gerber Legendary Blades and succeeded in cooperation with the american company in 1977. After changing the name to G. Sakai, the company has continued expanding the life of the original products under brand name. G.Sakai produces high fixed blade knives, folders and kitchen knives.
“KIMUN KAMUY” means “Gods of mountain” by Ainu.
Ainu people thought brown bears were avatars of Gods of mountain.
The blade shape looks like bear’s fang, so “KIMUN KAMUY” was named after brown bear.
This knife, ”KIMUN KAMUY” has great function for cut through.
The blade shape is useful for skinner . Deer and bears are main target.
