The new RECONDO III offers additional functions in relation to the advanced DESERT COMMAND II: wire cutter and back saw. It also features a new tanto blade design and a glass breaker at the end of the handle. Fiberglass enforced synthetic handle. Blade made of 1.4110 stainless steel, additional protection through black Kalgard coating. Synthetic sheath with lanyard fits all U.S. – M.O.L.L.E. and German IDZ carrying systems.

Just what you'd expect from a german military knife,excellent quality,well made,high price but worth the money.It has a decent sized blade I just wish it was at least 8" long.The whole knife is well designed and practical.

This knife is a combination of a fighter and survival knife. It does well for survival and is really good for knife fighting. When designers make knives like this its hard to get the best of both worlds. Since fighting knives are meant to be light, with pointy tip and balanced and survival knives are meant to be thicker, with stronger tip and a bit nose heavy if you want a heavy duty survival knife. This recondo3 is a compromise of both and so I like it a lot.
