Knivsmed Stromeng Samekniv 5 knife
Knivsmed Strømeng crafts genuine Sámi knives and leukus with deep respect for tradition – in fact, driven by it. The company is based in Karasjok, in the heart of Arctic Norway’s Finnmark region.
The Samekniv 5 is a leuku-style Sámi knife designed for versatile outdoor use, including more demanding, forceful tasks. Whether you call it a Stuorra-Niibi (large leuku) or an Unna Niibas (compact knife) is up to you.
It features a 13 cm carbon steel blade, oiled birch handle, brass fittings, and a decorated leather sheath – a timeless combination built for decades of use.
Samekniv 5 is a multi-purpose tool, survival knife, and bushcraft knife in one. It also makes an excellent gift or souvenir: Sámi tradition whispers of knives carrying mystical, even healing powers.
