The Samekniv 5 is a leuku-style Sámi knife designed for versatile outdoor use, including more demanding, forceful tasks. Whether you call it a Stuorra-Niibi (large leuku) or an Unna Niibas (compact knife) is up to you.

It features a 13 cm carbon steel blade, oiled birch handle, brass fittings, and a decorated leather sheath – a timeless combination built for decades of use.

Absulutely great. Excellent for splitting, carving, chopping wood. Small or big the blade can handle it without knicking or chipping. Cuts leather well. I don’t butcher animals but believe this knife would be my go to knife. You can impress your friends who like to cut paper, with this knife. Only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the initial burr on the edge and “machining” lines that were on the blade. I sharpened and polished the blade before using and I’m very happy with it now. If you don’t have skills to take care of a blade, you probably won’t be happy with this knife right out of the box. The Samekniv is versatile and can be used for pretty much everything. I would buy this knife again and again. SS
