Knivsmed Stromeng Samekniv 8 knife
With over 200 years of knife-making experience, Knivsmed Strømeng continues to honor Sámi traditions faithfully. The company is based in Karasjok, in the heart of Norway’s Finnmark region – the true Arctic North.
The Samekniv 8 is the second-largest leuku in the lineup: a strong, versatile companion capable of handling demanding bushcraft and wilderness tasks. The leuku has served Arctic communities as a survival tool for millennia, and Sámi folklore tells that these knives may even have magical, healing powers.
This knife features a 20.5 cm carbon steel blade, a flared oiled birch handle, brass fittings, and a decorated, durable leather sheath – a timeless and practical setup.
Samekniv 8 is built to endure – and in the wilderness, it may quickly become your most trusted ally. It also makes a thoughtful and meaningful gift.
