For more than 100 years, the Gränsfors Bruks has been dedicated to the production of axes forged by hand, with a focus on quality and environmental responsibility. Today there are 30 people working in production and sales. The experience and skills of individual employees are critical to the quality of the axes. Each axe is marked with the initials of the blacksmith to ensure their quality and warranty.
Even named Hammer-Poll Axe. Designed for splitting apart large chunks of wood, "rounds". The maul's head is heavier compared to the Splitting Axes. The poll is designed for pounding on a plitting wedge.
The head weighs 5 1/2 lb and has a 2 1/2" face. The hickory handle is 31", has circular grooves at the grip, a steel collar near the head, and comes with a grain leather sheath.
