Knivsmed Stromeng Samekniv 3.5 Old Fashion knife
Knivsmed Strømeng crafts authentic Sámi knives with deep respect for tradition—indeed, by obligation. The workshop is located in Karasjok, in Norway’s Finnmark region, at the heart of Arctic Lapland.
The Samekniv 3.5 Old Fashion is essentially a compact leuku, but better suited for general use: fishing, hunting, or campfire tasks. The 85 mm blade follows the leuku’s signature shape—broad, functional, and forged from blued carbon steel, which adds a dark, non-reflective finish and protection against moisture.
The tar-oiled, patinated birch handle with brass fittings and a decorated leather sheath complete the traditional look. Weighing only 80 g, this Unna Niibas-style puukko knife is a lightweight, versatile tool for those who prefer precision and portability in the wild.
