Böker Germany

Started from a small hardware factory of the Böker family in Germany in the 17th century, Böker became famous in 1869 when they launched their tree-brand knives developed in cooperation with the well-known cutlery-expert Hermann Heuser. The history of Böker has been affected by eventful times, but two things remained: passion and enthusiasm for extraordinary knives. Böker was one of the first companies to offer ceramic knives as a featured product line.

Superb! Einfach Spitze! The lockup is tight, tolerances are spot on and the blade is centered perfectly. The Damascus pattern is truly impressive and the CNC machined walnut scales are smooth and show amazing detail by the Tirpitz shield. (My knife is #46) This new 2020 Boker Manufaktur knife from Solingen, Germany, is the best Damascus knife from Boker yet and has the strongest liner lock in their entire Damascus line up. All the other Damascus Boker knives have a partial liner lock that is screwed from inside to attach to an aluminum handle. The new Tirpitz Wood has a liner lock that runs the entire length of the handle which is a much better design. This liner is similar to the Boker Flint and Boker Oberland Arms EDW1except instead of a 2.5 mm liner lock it is 1.5 mm. Boker would do best to ditch the old Dietmar Pohl era partial screw on liner lock and use this type of a complete liner lock moving forward. This is my new favorite pocket knife and EDC. The Boker Tirpitz Wood is well worth the money.
