Description

Ötzi is one of the Europe’s oldest natural preserved mummies. He is a treasure to the archaeological community due to the preservation of his remains, and his tools. In his tool kit, the iceman had a flint dagger affixed to a wood handle. In honor of our universal human heritage, Condor presents the Otzi Knife, inspired by this hard use tool from a time when we relied on nature for our survival.

Having spent a lot of time in the Otztal Alps, this knife caught my attention, particularly as I have visited the site where Otzi was found. I must confess that I thought this was something of a novelty product although I was wrong. The blade is made of a good carbon steel which holds an edge very well and the sheath and lanyard are good. The thing I didn't like was the finishing of the lanyard. The ends were loose which I didn't like although this was easily fixed by whipping the ends. The blade isn't full tang but this isn't an issue; with the short blade, the knife wouldn't be used for battening or other heavy-duty tasks. This is a great, practical little knife even though it still retains novelty value.

Pequena, compacta e muito eficaz, a lamina necessitou de um ligeiro toque quando chegou mas trinta segundos com uma pedra cerâmica e fica um sonho. Mesmo muito satisfeito
