Knivsmed Stromeng Samekniv 7 Old Fashion knife
Knivsmed Strømeng embraces Sámi heritage not just in spirit but in steel—crafting knives in the heart of Arctic Norway, in Karasjok, with more than 200 years of experience.
The Samekniv 7 Old Fashion is a rugged, mid-large striking leuku knife built for tough work: splitting wood, butchering, or hard camp labor. The 185 mm carbon steel blade is matt-black blued, offering a non-reflective surface and light protection against corrosion—well-suited for heavy outdoor use.
The flared pommel grip is made of patinated tar-oiled birch, secured with brass fittings. A decorated, thick leather sheath completes the traditional Sámi design.
For millennia, the leuku has been a survival tool of the Arctic. And as Sámi legend tells, a knife might not only protect in practical ways—it could heal, guard, and carry a piece of the North's spirit. The KS7OF is made for real use, not just for display.
