Fantoni has produced quality hunting, tactical and folding knives since 1980. They use different traditional and modern technologies for processing stainless steel and making heat or surface treatments. Fantoni was certainly the first Italian company in the industry to cooperate with knife designers, starting with Moris Baroni, R.W.Loveless, William W. Harsey, Tommaso Rumici and finally, Chris Reeve.
HIDE was born as a small back-up knife, easy to carry versatile and discreet. This knife has a full tang to create great robustness. The three-finger handle ensures a firm grip and the use of the Micarta handles gives you more grip which, due to the nature of the material increases with use.
Fantoni has designed the knife to have the maximum strength with the lowest possible weight. To keep the weight low they used a carefully sculptured concave ground blade, blending then into a central rib that preserves the strength. As for the handle, it has been thinned in the area below the grip point thereby giving a tiny weight of just 69g.
The sheath is very flat and thin, with a rectangular shape to keep the stability wherever you place it: hung with a rope around your neck or tucked in your pants.
