G.Sakai was established in 1958 under the name”Sakai Hamono” as a Japanese knife manufacture. Sakai Hamono was greatly inspired by Gerber Legendary Blades and succeeded in cooperation with the american company in 1977. After changing the name to G. Sakai, the company has continued expanding the life of the original products under brand name. G.Sakai produces high fixed blade knives, folders and kitchen knives.
The thicker & stout blade is durable for chopping. Also ample blade belly is easy for skinning the games. Double finger grooves & smooth ramp area on the blade spine guarantee the safety grip. These devices enable you to sense the direction of cutting edge when you hold the knife in the dark. A jimping area on the ramp prevents the thumb from slipping when you use the knife. A lanyard hole formed on the extended tang at rear of the handle is convenient for a parachute rope. Blade is made out of VG-10 which is superior in tensile strength as well as in corrosion resistance.
