Precision Knife Maintenance Tool

The EKA Sharpening Steel Orange 18 cm is a high-performance honing tool designed to align the edge of your knife and maintain its sharpness for longer. Regular use of a sharpening steel ensures your knife's cutting edge remains in optimal condition between sharpening sessions, extending its lifespan and maintaining precision cutting performance.

Crafted from high-quality Alleima 12C27 stainless steel, this sharpening steel is both durable and highly effective. The ergonomic polymer Santoprene™ handle, with its high-visibility orange color, ensures a secure and comfortable grip during use. Whether you're a professional chef, a butcher, or an outdoor enthusiast, this sharpening steel is an essential tool for maintaining your blades.

Key Features:
✔ Precision Honing Steel (176 mm) – Re-aligns the knife edge, keeping it razor-sharp for longer.
✔ Alleima 12C27 Stainless Steel (HRC 57-59) – High-durability steel that ensures smooth and efficient honing.
✔ Ergonomic Santoprene™ Handle – Provides a comfortable, non-slip grip for maximum control.
✔ Compact & Lightweight (151 g) – Easy to handle and store, ideal for kitchens and outdoor use.
✔ High-Visibility Orange Design – Ensures easy identification in professional and outdoor settings.
✔ Dishwasher Safe – Can be machine-washed, but handwashing is recommended for optimal longevity.
✔ Magnetic Storage Compatible – Protects the sharpening steel from damage and keeps it accessible.
✔ Reliable Swedish Craftsmanship – Backed by a 10-year limited warranty for long-term use.

How to Use the EKA Sharpening Steel:
🔹 Position the steel – Hold it vertically on a stable surface.
🔹 Set the correct angle – Most EKA knives have a 20-degree sharpening angle.
🔹 Hone the blade – Glide your knife across the sharpening steel from heel to tip using light to medium pressure, alternating sides evenly for a balanced edge. 6-8 strokes per side are typically sufficient.
