Two brothers, Steinar and Sigmund Helle started knife production in the old forge at their farm in 1932. The first set of knives was sold on a long trip over the mountains on a bicycle! Today, Helle knives are sold all around the world, but just as then, much of the production is done manually. The philosophy remains the same: no machine can replace skilled craftsmanship. Craftsmen with extensive experience and knowledge still take pride in making each and every Helle knife unique.
Named after the North Star, the Helle Polaris 675 brings the Scandinavian design of the Nord and Nordlys into a compact, easy-to-carry fixed blade. Its 80 mm full-tang blade is made from stainless 14C28N steel, offering dependable performance for outdoor use, precise cutting and everyday tasks. The ergonomic curly birch handle provides a secure grip in different working positions.
Weighing only 110 g with its sheath, the Polaris is exceptionally easy to carry. The brown leather sheath can be worn on a belt or carried discreetly in a pocket, making this compact Helle knife a practical companion for everyday adventure
