The knife is very well thought and balanced in terms of applicability range, used materials and price point. Also, it came with a good quality leather sheath, equipped with dangler and a loop for big fire-steel. The blade (2mm thick, 28mm height and 102mm length) have a full-height convex grind with secondary v-edge and sharp 90-degree back spine. It is made out 1075 high carbon steel with two stage patina coating. The micarta handle (112mm length) is enough thick (22mm) with nice oval shape and comfortable index finger groove. The fit- and finish-quality of the knife as well as of the sheath are excellent. In use, the knife noticeable excels in one way: Due to the thin convex blade, it performs equally well at food processing and fire making (assume only kindling, feathering and getting sparks). This is not independent survival knife by no means, but a good companion/bushcrafter, especially, combined with axe (or hatchet) and saw. The blade length and shape are just enough for most cutting tasks. The handle ergonomics are superb at any holding - no hot spots even at intensive use. The balance point is just behind the index finger. However, the knife is well controllable and performs really fast. The edge retention/toughness is acceptable (for 1075) and very easy to sharpen in field conditions. Also, the blade coating is quite durable - no rust issues at all. The knife, in my opinion, has two peculiarities: (i) The 2mm-thick blade is kind of thin and tends to bounce a bit from the wood at whittling and feathering (3mm would be great, I believe, without affecting the slicing abilities). (ii) A continuous or two step (which I did easily) convex grind (instead of secondary v-edge) might increase the fine cutting control. Nevertheless, my overall experience with the knife is quite positive and I do recommend it. Last but not least, thank Lamnia for the perfect service and for providing high quality products.

My favorite American knife by a fair margin ( have others by Esee and TOPS). Light, in spite of the full tang construction and micarta scales, perfectly balanced with one of the most comfortable handles I have ever held. The blade is razor sharp and flexible (you can bend it slightly using your fingers), which makes it a great slicer of both wood and food stuffs. I wouldn’t want to use (abuse) it for batoning, but then that’s what hatchets are for. The sheath is high quality leather with very good stitching, though I did have some trouble finding a fitting fire rod. Kulpikla fits nicely, Mora is a bit loose, TOPS a little too thick. Looks like a slightly modified Kephart knife, or the closest thing to a full tang puukko. Highly recommended.
