Started from a small hardware factory of the Böker family in Germany in the 17th century, Böker became famous in 1869 when they launched their tree-brand knives developed in cooperation with the well-known cutlery-expert Hermann Heuser. The history of Böker has been affected by eventful times, but two things remained: passion and enthusiasm for extraordinary knives. Böker was one of the first companies to offer ceramic knives as a featured product line.
The Boker Daily Knives AK1 Drop Point MagnaCut Curly Birch combines modern EDC performance with the natural elegance of an exceptional handle material. Developed in cooperation with young knifemaker Alex Kremer and Daily Customs, this compact fixed blade knife is designed for everyday carry, precision cutting, and timeless aesthetics.
Born in Fulda, Germany, in 1993, Alex Kremer began making knives at the age of 18. His design language is strongly influenced by extensive journeys through Scandinavian landscapes, resulting in clean lines, functional reduction, and outstanding practicality. The AK1 Drop Point represents the essence of this philosophy a small, capable everyday knife without unnecessary elements.
The drop point blade crafted from powder metallurgical MagnaCut steel (62 HRC ±1) offers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. This makes the fixed blade knife perfectly suited for precise everyday cutting tasks, urban EDC, and outdoor use.
A standout feature of this model is the handle made from beautifully figured curly birch wood. The distinctive flame-like grain pattern gives each knife a unique appearance and adds a warm, natural character. The ergonomically shaped wooden scales provide a comfortable and secure grip. Using the included Torx key, the handle scales can be easily removed and replaced if desired.
The reversible lanyard hole at the end of the handle can be rotated and fully concealed inside the handle when the scales are removed. This results in a slim, discreet profile, ideal for unobtrusive everyday carry.
