Started from a small hardware factory of the Böker family in Germany in the 17th century, Böker became famous in 1869 when they launched their tree-brand knives developed in cooperation with the well-known cutlery-expert Hermann Heuser. The 2026 edition draws inspiration from the iconic Boker Kihon Bifold, designed by U.S. knifemaker Lucas Burnley, and interprets its clear design philosophy in a strictly limited edition of 999 pieces worldwide.
The term Kihon refers to the fundamental techniques of Japanese martial artsa concept reflected in the knifes minimalist, functional, and refined design. The impressive 160-layer Damascus blade, featuring a classic ladder pattern, delivers excellent edge retention along with a dynamic, expressive appearance.
Intuitive and secure operation is ensured by the thumb stud and back lock mechanism. The handle is crafted from premium carbon fiber, complementing the elegant blade with a modern, lightweight, and highly durable character.
