Japanese Rockstead knives are recognized as factory custom knives. The majority of the production is done through the use of high specification CNC machines, and the blade polishing process is made by craftsman hand-work, providing the same high-quality result as can be expected in a true custom knife. Special blade shapes adapted from traditional Japanese swords, outstanding mirror-polished blade surface and unique steel material position Rockstead knives among the most beautiful and highest quality knives.
This model is very clear design. The blade shape is "T-Honzukuri". It is Tanto-convex grind. As you know, we are making to the "Tanto" blade shape with 智 CHI model. But, this blade shape is "T-Shinogizukuri". That means straight grind.
However, "Tanto-Honzukuri" was completed with ROCKSTEAD special technologies. The only a few knife makers are making this kind of the blade shape. But, nobody with mirror polishing surface.
This handle materials are different from front and back. Front side is carbon fiber. Back side is titanium. This is very light and good balance.
