Wästikivi grinding stones come from the special bedrock of Västilä, a small Finnish village. This natural whetstone has formed over the course of millions of years of high temperatures and pressure that slowly forged the rock into good quality and fine grained mudstone. While the mudstone is created by nature, these grinding stones are made by skillful, experienced hands. This powerful combination of Wästikivi will keep your knives razor sharp.
Fits a bigger grip. The peg can be used with pulling movements.
Fits well the professional hand. Please notice the whetstone grinds the threats away. When the blade doesn't feel smooth anymore, grind the stone in slightly higher angle, as you were carving shavings off the steel. Remember to moisten the whetstone with water before using.
