Javanainen Forge Mosaic Damascus knife
Timo Javanainen’s incomparable beautiful mosaic Damascus knife, made by Javanainen Forge, won second place in the large knife category at the Hyvinkää knife event in August 2025.
The beautiful damask pattern with ram decorations is complemented by the exquisitely crafted guard, where the ram theme is repeated with its twisted horns. The blade material consists of a carbon steel combination: 15N20 + UHB20C + 1095 steel powder.
The beautiful birch burl handle and the sheath’s leather birch-bark imitation crown this unique masterpiece. The guard, upper ferrule, and handle tightening nut are made of structural steel.
The sheath is composed of two layers. Against the blade, there is rawhide, and the outer layer is made of vegetable-tanned leather. The strap knob is turned from steel.
A more unique and stylish Damascus knife than this one may be hard to find.
