Hot Metal Knives RLPM 060 knife
Hot Metal Knives, or HMk, is a company founded by the Finnish craftsman Thomas Ronnberg, specializing in handmade custom knives that are both highly functional and visually stunning. HMK refuses to follow the typical Finnish knife-making formula that often relies on the nearly sacred combination of curly birch and carbon steel. Instead, Ronnberg pours into his knives his extensive expertise, gathered from around the world. Many of Ronnberg's techniques are ancient, nearly forgotten practices. Through his incredibly innovative knife designs, he brings these millennia-old techniques back to life.
The Rivet Lock RLPM 60 neck knife features a blade made from high-carbon SK-5 steel from Japan, crafted using the "Hikime-kaji" technique, which could be referred to as cold forging. This enhances the steel’s properties, increasing its hardness, among other benefits. As a result, the Rivet Lock RLPM 60 remains remarkably sharp for an extended period.
The Tsuka-Maki handle, inspired by Asian craftsmanship, is made from wood wrapped in paracord.
This full tang knife comes with a Kydex sheath equipped with a pocket clip.
