Choosing a Zero Tolerance folder
The 0350 is a substantial everyday-carry folding knife with assisted opening. Its flipper works with the SpeedSafe mechanism to help deploy the blade. The 0450 takes a more compact approach: it opens manually with a flipper and KVT ball bearings at the pivot, which help the blade move smoothly. The 0562 is a Rick Hinderer-designed folder with a slicer-style blade grind intended to support efficient slicing. It also uses manual KVT opening. These models offer different sizes and opening systems, so consider how you plan to carry and operate the knife.
Materials and construction
Materials vary by model and configuration. The 0350 uses a CPM S30V stainless-steel blade and textured G10 handle scales in the listed configuration. G10 is a resin-reinforced glass-fiber material that provides a stable handle surface. The 0450 configuration described by Zero Tolerance pairs a CPM S35VN blade with titanium handles and a titanium frame lock. Titanium combines low weight with corrosion resistance. The 0562 has appeared in different configurations; its standard design pairs a steel frame lock with a textured G10 front scale, while other versions use different handle materials or blade steels. Check the exact model configuration for its specifications.
Brand background and warranty
Zero Tolerance is a Kai USA brand introduced in 2006 with a line of knives made in the USA. That history does not mean every model or configuration has the same manufacturing origin. Kai USA provides a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner against defects in materials and construction, subject to exclusions including wear, misuse and modifications.
