knives

LionSteel makes folding and fixed-blade knives, from compact everyday-carry designs to outdoor models. Founded in 1969, the Italian company combines knife-making experience with modern machining and varied handle materials.

The M4 is a compact fixed-blade knife for camping and mountain hikes. For pocket carry, the T.R.E. is a folding knife with a titanium frame lock, while the Solid Twain pairs a button lock with an integral frame and handle scale. Together, these models cover everyday carry and outdoor cutting tasks.

Fixed-blade outdoor knife

The M4 is a compact fixed-blade knife intended for camping and mountain hikes. Its 95 mm blade is made from M390 steel, and the knife comes with a double-seam leather sheath. Handle options include olive, Santos and walnut wood, as well as black G10 and natural or green canvas. These choices let you select a traditional wood handle or a synthetic scale, while the fixed blade suits outdoor cutting tasks.

Folding knives for pocket carry

The T.R.E. is a folding knife built around a titanium frame lock. Depending on the version, its handle is titanium, carbon fiber or G10. The IKBS ball-bearing pivot supports the blade’s opening and closing action. Selected T.R.E. configurations let the user attach or remove the flipper, or use a thumb stud, so check the specific version for its opening setup.

The Solid Twain is another folding option, with a button lock and LionSteel’s Double Integral construction: its titanium frame and separate handle scale are each milled from a solid piece of material. The blade uses CPM MagnaCut steel. Handle scales are offered in carbon fiber, canvas or G10, depending on the configuration. Compared with the T.R.E., the Twain has a button-lock mechanism and a two-material integral handle design.

Materials and company background

Steel and handle materials vary by model and configuration. The M4 uses M390 steel, while the Solid Twain uses CPM MagnaCut; these are model-specific specifications, not materials shared across the range. LionSteel was founded in 1969 by Gino Pauletta and his wife in Maniago, Italy, a town with a knife-making tradition. The company’s history and modern product range reflect that local background, but manufacturing details should be checked for each model.
