It all began in the aftermath of the economic recession at the end of the first decade of the 2000s. A man named Jakob Asuit had been gaining experience by assembling knives and learning to work blades. In 2015, Asuit tried to make a name for himself with his Bloodline Knives brand, but various setbacks led to the brand being abandoned.
Asuit, however, was not discouraged. He continued to gain experience. In 2022, he suffered a serious accident that left him wheelchair-bound for a long time. Once back on his feet, the time was finally ripe to launch a new and bold knife brand.
Very Good Knife Company came to life in March 2023. Asuit wants to design and produce knives without unnecessary gimmicks or frills. True to its modestly fitting name, the company relies on familiar strengths: functionality, versatility, and excellent value for money. Very Good Knife Company knives are sleek, beautifully simple blades, perfect for hunters, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Asuit primarily relies on the proven combination of high-carbon steel and Micarta.
But there is also something truly unique: the stunning one-of-a-kind Signature Series knives, the result of craftsmanship, free thinking, and creativity. These knives, marked with a serial number and the maker’s signature, are never reproduced, ensuring collectors and knife enthusiasts own something genuinely exceptional.
