These are among the sharpest knifes I ever seen out of the box. Incredibly hard steel holds an edge with normal maintenance. The Carpenter with its narrow profile is the perfect companion to the larger Hunter. Having both knives in one sheath is still lightweight, and ensures you always have the right blade for the job. Upon my first use of the Hunter, the blade chipped while carving some hardwood. I wrote to Roselli and they requested the knife for inspection. Although they could't see a defect, they sent me a new knife without question. They truly stand by their knives and provide excellent service. Great company, great product!
