Spyderco developed the UK Penknife after the United Kingdom prohibited the carry of knives with locking blades. We began refining the classic slip-joint pocket mechanism with a notched joint and added two Spyderco features that define the modern folding knife: a pocket clip for convenient carry and our Trademark Round Hole for easy, ambidextrous one-hand opening. The UK Penknife is 100% made in the USA and is available with either a leaf-shaped or drop-point blade design. Both are flat ground from CTS BD1 stainless steel and feature opposing jimping on the thumb ramp and index-finger choil for positive control.

CTSBD1 = a great blade steel FRN handles Before buying this knife all I could think about was “boy is that expensive” and that is true but once you have this knife in your hand the price melts away. If you life in the UK ans want a No reason Carry Knife then there are not many for you to go at but this is one of the best. Pro UK legal Feels great in the hand Easy to open close one handed Deep carry clip The UKs best selling Spyderco A choil to stop the knife closing when in use Very easy to get surgical sharp Very very light You can forget it is in your pocket it is so light With no edges to get in the way if you put your hand in your pocket Cons I just love this knife so I have had to think hard about the cons Looks a bit stabby The cost, yes you get what you pay for and you will love it but it a big chunk of change but then again if you can raid the piggy bank, stop the kids spending money or peg and plead with your loved one. Do it just do it trust me

Knife is good and really slicy. Legal in EU but I think its overrated. Too much hipe around it is making it more valuable than it actually is.
