This is the best implementation of the F-S Dagger by far, period - and i can tell you that i have many custom F-S versions such as those made by NZ maker Peter Parkinson . The F-S is a fighting knife with a very specific focus and very specific way for use, it's not an all-purpose combat knife with a broad spectrum of usage. The Czechs of ANV have done a fantastic job here - the "Anthropoid" is an awesome F-S dagger, it screaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaams quality the moment you pick it up in your hands and a big smile starts appearing on your face...the very name of this F-S, "Anthropoid" is quite fitting and pays respect and homeage to the origins of the F-S...this version as well as the "ceremonial" with the red handle are just so right, the blade has a jaw-dropping 6mm thickness for absolute penetration efficiency, the handle is one of the best you have ever held in your hands, the sheath is a paradigm of just how a quality military-grade knife sheath should be made. And for its blade geometry, the Anthropoid cuts better than you would think. Remember, even by dagger standards, the F-S is VERY specific - orientated for thrusting. Conclusion: the F-S dagger is the international symbol of Elite Forces and should you own one, the ANV "Anthropoid" is awesome, it's absolutely fantastic, its the best F-S implementation ever and it will put a smile on your face everytime you pick it up.

At this price point, overall workmanship needs to be significantly improved. Some major flaws in the copy I received, the point is visibly not centered, the bevels are not symmetrical, the fuller grind is so roughly done that even PVD/DLC coating cannot hide it and worst of all, the cutting edges are absolutely dull, zero cutting ability, reducing this entire piece to a fancy ice pick or prison shank. While I like the steel choice, handle/pummel and sheath, they definitely don't make up for the blade flaws. I returned it the following day after receiving it all the way from Finland, despite having to pay for costly return shipping. Blade aside, which is no fault of Lamnia, I really enjoy buying from a fantastic and professional seller like Lamnia. I will gladly buy from Lamnia again.
