Description

A proud member of Spyderco’s Salt Series™ of ultra-corrosion-resistant knives, the Spydiechef takes the userfriendly ergonomics of a good chef’s knife and translates them into a do-all folder optimized for everyday carry. Based on knifemaker Marcin Slysz’ custom design, it features a gracefully curved, full-flat-ground blade crafted from LC200 N—an extremely corrosion-resistant nitrogen-based steel used by NASA for ball bearings. Its easily cleaned, open-backed handle consists of two solid titanium scales, one of which houses a stout Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism. A lined lanyard hole and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip support convenient carry and quick tip-up access.

This is the CQI updated version with a ceramic ball detent.

Pros: Thin blade and full flat grind makes it incredible slicer. Unique design, the handle and the blade complements each other really well. Comfortable size, looks bigger in pictures, but actually sits well in the hand. Blade is about the size of paramilitary 2, but handle is significantly smaller, good blade/handle ratio. Cons: No cutout for spydie hole from the lock side because of the positioning so it's not really flickable with middle finger from below (can do it with the left hand though). No ramp for detent ball so there's slight "hickup" at the begining of the closing action.

I was so very disappointed on receiving the "Legendary" Spydiechef. Yes it is sharp, yes it is beautiful and chops well. BUT after all the "bull" on the internet about Spyderco's CQI and the changes made to this knife, it has significant LOCK STICK. I hope that this issue will ease over time but in a knife which costs this much Spyderco should have sorted this problem out before any other criticism. Lock bar insert in LC200N anyone???

Very sharp out of the box, easy to dismantle, clean and reassemble. There is the famous lock stick present but it's not too bad. I'm looking to using this one in the kitchen!

Tolles Taschenmesser. Durch die Titengriffschalen sehr stabil und sehr schmal. Kann man fast schon als dezent bezeichnen. Die Sheepfoot-Klinge ist sehr fein ausgeschliffen. Das Messer liegt gut in der Hand und man kann durch die vorgewölbte Klinge sehr viel Druck auf diese bringen. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Auch nach dem Zerlegen und Zusammensetzen ist der Klingenstand mittig und der Klingengang wie vorher definiert. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Teil.

Coltello strepitoso in ogni sua parte, vale ogni € speso ma sopratutto una scelta molto più sensata rispetto ad altri modelli Spyderco molto artistici ma poco redditizi, un coltello realmente utilizzabile per la vita di tutti i giorni, arriva affilato come un bisturi, fate molta attenzione! Complimenti a Lamnia per la velocità!
