Well done sheath that requires some “break-in” (typically necessary with most quality leather products) to achieve desired balance between ease of use and good retention. I used Galco’s “Draw-EZ” (originally for pistol holsters) to accelerate the process. Apply some “Sno-Seal” and good to go for those who go forth in all types of weather (protects leather from perspiration as well here in the Arizona desert).
This sheath is a beautiful, very nicely manufactured piece. The dangler solution and the loop size is also good. However, this is far too robust compared to the size of the knife and soooooooooo tight that practically it is not usable. However, if you are a collector only or you want to present this sheath to/with a "vitrine-knife" it is a good choice. Out in the wilderness I would not recommend it. Personally I would not buy this sheath again and I do not use this sheath at all.
