Böker

Started from a small hardware factory of the Böker family in Germany in the 17th century, Böker became famous in 1869 when they launched their tree-brand knives developed in cooperation with the well-known cutlery-expert Hermann Heuser. The history of Böker has been affected by eventful times, but two things remained: passion and enthusiasm for extraordinary knives. Böker was one of the first companies to offer ceramic knives as a featured product line.

Received in big cardboard box. There are two smaller boxes inside with tree sheets of styrofoam, but it wasn't enough to keep two boxes inside wihtout movement. Because of that one of the knives (small one) get to another one and they both got dents on the cutting edge during transportation. More to this, Santoku knife have uneven G10 scales and right one is taller than left one, which is may be good for lefthanders but I am not. Quality control issues, is it really hard to check the handels just one look at it to see the problem, one pass on the grinder and problem is fixed. Also I think stretch film cost nothing and manufacturer can wrap each knife with it to prevent damages during transportation. The box is really big and useless. As a summary I really dissapointed, it's not worth spending 375 eur on this set.
