I discovered this Boker knife making company in Argentina, researched it and found that the steel used is decent steel and they are tempered correctly-- this particular model is my favorite and this is my third one. My daughter has one and so does my brother. The blades usually have a nice even grind and the overall fit and finish is very good, especially for a hunting knife in this price range -- the only issue is that this model has been discontinued, so I was lucky to find this one-- It was a very easy to use web site and the knife arrived within just a few days, a very pleasant transaction --- John H
