Stabiles EDC Messer, gute Schärfe und schöner Griff mit toller Maserung. Lediglich im Griff wo die Klinge verschwindet war bei meinem Exemplar eine Seite etwas unsauber gearbeitet, was das Messer aber auf keinen Fall in der Qualität mindert.

Compact and reliable back-up bushcraft folding knife, with one main note: the wooden scales (not stabilized) are sensitive to wet environment (gaps could appear between them and the stainless steel liners) and have to take proper care on them. In actual use, the knife feels comfortable and solid. Its compact size is just right, i.e. it favors the delicate works and does not bother the rough ones. The blade has scandy grind with fine polishing line and 90-degre sharp back spine. The edge retention is adequate. The mechanics is very good - bronze washers and stable blade centering, even at hard use. The pivots are simple and could be tightened (if needed) with simple flat head screwdriver (or similar subject in field conditions). If do so, however, the heads of the bolts might protrude partially from the scales. Lastly, the pattern on the curly birch scales is rich and looks beautiful.

The only complaints I have are that the wood appears to have no treatment on it to seal the wood. Also the use of screws with a wide flat depression tends to grab the skin, as do edges of the metal in the empty space where the blade rests when closed. Even much cheaper knives routinely bevel the sharp edges of the metal that are not part of the blade itself. I expected better finishing on an expensive folding knife. It’s beautiful and fits my hand nicely, just not quite the level of comfort for handling it that I expected.

This folder do justice to its Swedish origin. This is the second Casström knife that I have purchased from LAMNIA and I am not regretful. Simple, effective, functional and beautiful. I just wish that tit was bigger...
