The drop-point blade made from AEB-L with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 60 focuses on a fine, stable edge, good edge retention, and high toughness. AEB-L is a stainless knife steel originally developed for razor blade production and is known for its very fine microstructure and excellent toughness. With approximately 13% chromium and a comparatively moderate carbon content, AEB-L forms a fine carbide structure.
