Heckler & Koch FX03 Messer

The Heckler & Koch FX03 is a sub-compact fixed blade tanto that fulfils the functional requirements of a modern military and law enforcement knife and is made of the best materials currently developed for its purpose. The strong and yet, easy cutting Tanto blade is made of powder metallurgical MagnaCut. This steel, represents the squaring of the circle in metallurgical terms. Until now, it was only possible to produce either a tough, fracture-elastic steel or a highly corrosion-resistant steel for powder metallurgical steels with extremely high cutting properties. MagnaCut now optimizes the property triangle of edge-retention, toughness and corrosion-resistance by having a chromium content of 10% of the exact saturation limit of the steel. This allows the chromium to be completely dissolved in the crystalline matrix of the steel, resulting in a very fine microstructure. The blade is coated black to protect against reflection. The offset handle and thumb guard offer maximum safety and power transfer to the cutting edge. The bolted handle scales made of indestructible fiber-reinforced nylon (FRN) are provided with the current HK texture for optimum grip. The flat and slim one-piece folded Kydex sheath offers a firm and secure hold with quick access even without an additional safety lock. With the included spring steel clip, the sheath can be carried on the harness in one's clothing pocket or in the inner waistband. The eyelets also allow other common attachment adapters (Tek-Lok, IWB belt loop etc.) to be fitted.
