The full tang drop point blade is black and has a PC coating, being made out of Swedish stainless steel. The handle is made out of FSC® certified ash wood from Europe. The vegetable-tanned leather sheath makes carrying this chef knife easy and safe.

The Morakniv Ash knives have received mostly critical attention, simply because they are pricey. From a company known for its extremely affordable Companion model, this series seems outrageously expensive. I do, however, disagree. Fit and finish are on the level of LionSteel, I love the optics, and the knife feels perfect in the hand. Not a bargain, but worth the money. And an ecological choice, too.
